Hello everyone! Bonnie here from BONNIECAROLLEE.com . I have started wrapping gifts and love to include a homemade tag. It is a busy time of year and thought I would do up some tags featuring Berries from Alex Syberia Designs new release! I kept it QUICK AND EASY … perfect for mass producing!
Bristol Smooth card stock was ink smooshed with Distress Oxide inks Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio and Bundled Sage. The ink was applied one colour at a time on the work surface and spritzed with water combined with Perfect Pearls … for a touch of shimmer! I tried to ensure each colour was distributed evenly across the card stock. I wasn’t wasting any time so I dried the 8 1/2 by 11” card stock with the heat tool to ready it for the printer. I sized the digital image, BERRIES, roughly 2” by 3” and duplicated it. I was able to fit 9 images on the card stock.
The images were die cut with one of the dies in My Favourite Things Stitched Rectangles. The holes were punched with We R Memories Crop-a-dile hole punch. This powerful punch can do many tags at a time. Two sentiments from Simon says Stamp’s Tiny Words Christmas were lined up in a stamping platform and the tags were stamped with Versamark ink. I stamped about five at a time and then coated them all with gold embossing powder before applying heat. A time saver! All of the reinforcements were embossed and adhered to the tags.
A red and dark pink sequin mix was used to embellish the berry details. The holly leaves were painted with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard. I used a combination of two DMC metallic embroidery threads in green and a variegated red for the tags. The threads were slip knotted through the hole. The sequins were topped off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew and a few gold embellishments were added with Nuvo Crystal Drops Yellow Mustard.
Some of the tags were used on caramel chocolate pretzel rods that will accompany gifts to friends … if I can manage to keep my grandson out of them!
Thanks so much for your visit!
These tags look so luxe, Bonnie, and they’re super gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the process.
