Hello! This is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a new postage style Christmas card that I created using the adorable Merry Christmice stamp set together with it’s coordinating die. This card also uses the Postage Stamps Cover Die and Postage Stamps Stencil.
I started by die cutting white cardstock using the cover die. I layered over the coordinating stencil and using a light touch I ink blended using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. Keeping the stencil in position I somewhat randomly stamped a selection of images from the Merry Christmice stamp set to create a ‘wallpaper design’.
I coloured the images with the following Copic markers:-
Mice – E31, E41, E40
Red – R89, R59, R39, R27, R24
Teal – BG32, G00, C3 C1
Stars – Y00
Blush and Ears – R22, R20, R00
I used a white gel pen to decorate and highlight and then I backed the panel with dimensional foam tape and applied it to a minty patterned panel from my stash and then that was glued to a slightly larger sturdy white card base.
To finish this project, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it using the corresponding die in the coordinating die set and then I simply dotted in some delicate sparkle using Stickles glitter in ‘Crystal’.
Another ‘Christmice’ card ready to go out to a loved one! Thank you for stopping by today to read, I’ll be back next Saturday with another new holiday card, meanwhile I wish you some happy crafting time!
