Hello, crafters and happy new week!! Brenda back with you today!! As I said last week, I’m challenging myself to use the latest Have A Good Day Release to create holiday cards!! I LOVE stretching my supplies to get the most from my stash!! Today’s card could be used for many different occasions by just switching out the sentiment!!
I started by die-cutting the flowers and leaves from red, green, teal and matte gold cardstock using the Andalusia Wildflowers Die Set. I used detail blending brushes and dye inks to add shading to the die-cuts.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the largest rectangle die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangle Die Set. I added Dune TCW Stencil Butter onto the panel through the Shiny Diamonds Stencil (sorry…I just realized that this stencil has been discontinued, but you could use any stencil here) with a palette knife. Once the stencil butter was dry, I blended a bit of aqua ink around the outside of the panel. The bouquet was arranged and adhered to the background with liquid glue.
The sentiment was created using the Joy Die Set. The top layer was die-cut once from matte gold cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The bottom layer was die-cut twice from heavyweight white cardstock. All the layers were adhered together, then adhered to the lower, right area with liquid glue to finish off the card.
That does it for me today!! I have one more card to share next week combining products from the Have A Good Day Release with some older products to create a Christmas card!!
Have a great week!!
