Hello friends, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Design blog and I’m sharing a cheerful Christmas card that was created using a combination of brand new products from the release that launched on October 10th and also older products. I have used the following:-
Classic Bow Die Set (new)
Chic Bows Stencil Set (new)
Bow Ho Ho Frame Die (new, for the sentiment)
Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set (older)
I took a panel of white cardstock and used the new Chic Bows Stencil and ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks in Abandoned Coral and Lumberjack Red. I die cut using the Good Day Quilted Die Set linked above. I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to a panel of red cardstock that was 1/4 inch larger and then that was adhered to a white card base that was 1/4 in larger again.
To create the bow, I took more of the same red cardstock I’d used for the panel and I die cut the parts of the Classic Bow Die Set. I used Lipstick Red Ink by The Stamp Market to darken the areas of the bow that would be in shadow and then glued all the parts together. I created two strips of ‘ribbon’ and glued them in place and added the bow in the corner, to give the idea of a gift.
To complete the card I highlighted a few points with a white gel pen and then I die cut the sentiment from the Bow Ho Ho Frame Die. The two parts were glued together white on red and then I applied it to the corner of the card using dimensional foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by, I’ll be back next Wednesday with something brand new to share.
Nicky
