Hello Crafty friends,
Sylvie @kaliscards here with a couple cards sharing the same design, using the Charming floral background press plate.
For both cards, I inked the background panel on Copic-friendly cardstock using the Charming floral background press plate and the Spellbinders Press plate system with Black BetterPress ink on one panel and Hydrangea ink on the other.
I then used the coordinating stencil to blend Distress inks Tattered rose, Kitsch Flamingo and Mustard seed on the flowers of the blue panel, and Festive berries and Lumberjack plaid on the black panel. For the leaves, I blended Twisted citron and Rustic wilderness.
I then die cut the panels using the smaller rectangle die from the Good day quilted rectangles die set. I also die cut the largest rectangle die from white cardstock.
I then die cut a 3″ band of vellum using the second largest scalloped rectangle die from the Nested scalloped frames die set.
I adhered the white panels onto the cardbases. I then used double-sided tape to adhere the vellum at the back of the floral panel. I added foam tape at the back of the floral panel and adhered it onto the white panel and cardbase.
Next, I stamped the images from the Happy hog day and Penguin love stamp sets. To decorate the tea pot, I stamped the tulips from the Cheerful Panda moments stamp set. And for the basket of roses, I used the Spring bunnies stamp set and did a bit of masking to stamp 3 roses from the Penguin love stamp set instead of the original carrots.
I colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies for the Penguin love, Happy hog day and Spring bunnies sets. For the basket of roses, I did partial die cutting on the pot and placed the top plate of the die cutting machine at the limit of the pot before the roses, to leave them uncut. I then fussy cut around the roses with scissors.
I also press printed the sentiments from the Classic sentiments press plate with black ink on Spellbinders BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panels Porcelain White 320gsm, and used the coordinating dies. Finally, I adhered the images and sentiments with liquid adhesive.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next week.
Have a lovely crafty week!
