Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s card is not all pink, red and roses. Instead, I chose a blue and green combination with a beautiful sentiment, “Always in my heart” for this Valentine’s Day! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a loving greeting for any day of the year. My 5″ X 7″ card features the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Avian Allure Stamp Set and coordinating dies (for the sentiment, only)
My card is 5″ X 7″ in size. I used Neenah 80lb Super Smooth cardstock for the card base and card front panel. Here’s more details.
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I die cut all the florals using the Mysterious Petals Die Set and four colors of blue cardstock – navy, dusk blue, powder blue and a light aqua blue. I also used a pretty spring green for the greenery and stems. I mixed the blues in different orders to create the blossoms. I glued the layers together and attached them to the green vine that is part of the Mysterious Petals Die Set. The packaging for this set shows the various layers of each flower that is helpful to follow. I set the vine aside to work on the background.
For the background, I splattered a light green watercolor all over the front of the 5″ X 7″ card front. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints and a fan-shaped brush. Once it was dry, I attached the vine of blossoms with the bottom of the vine towards the lower right corner. I attached more blossoms around the central vine of flowers to fill in some of the white spaces on the front of the card.
I added a few sparkly blue gem stickers around the florals. I also stamped in black and die cut the sentiment, “Always in my heart” using the Avian Allure Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I attached the sentiment in the upper right corner to complete this card.
