With Mom’s day around the corner, I thought it would be nice to share a pretty floral that could be used for mom or anyone special in your life. This is Bobbi Lemanski sharing wonderful greetings!
I’m using the following products by Alex Syberia Designs:
Classic Sentiment Press Plate and Die Set
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I die cut the elements to make the spring clover stems and blossoms. I used a deeper green for the foliage and die cut the blooms from white cardstock. I used a blender brush and Distress Oxide Inks in Carved Pumpkin and Worn Lipstick to add color to the blossoms. I backed the pink ones using a Kraft cardstock. I also die cut the cute lady bugs from the Cheerful Meadow Die Set. I used a white and a warm gray cardstock to make the two-toned bugs.
For the background, I used the background stencil from the Spring Tulips Stencil Set to make the large lavender tulip outlines in the background of this card. I love the varied lavender areas on this background. I accented it with metallic gold watercolor paint droplets over the top. How pretty is this?! I absolutely love how it turned out.
Once the paint was dry, I attached the florals and lady bugs, positioning them to cascade from the upper, right corner. I added a sentiment using the Classic Sentiment Press Plate and Die Set. These sentiments are so great because you can print and cut all the sentiments in one process! I love that time-saver! I used black ink for the phrase.
To finish the card, I applied some pearl gem stickers to the card front in a very pretty, soft, lavender pearl. This just adds a nice soft touch to the florals and the sweet lady bugs!
