Happy Saturday friends! This is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I have a new card to share with you all that features the Julian Charlton illustrated stamp set ‘Hoppy Easter‘. Now, the good news is that whilst Easter is in the rear view mirror for this year, this stamp set goes WELL beyond Easter as I demonstrate in this project.
I stamped the image of the two sweet bunnies together with various other smaller images from the stamp set. With the tufts of grass and all the Daffodils I stamped them numerous times and then the images were die cut using the coordinating dies.
I took a 5″ x 3 3/4′ panel of cardstock and I softly ink blended using Salvaged Patina and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks.
I coloured the images with the following Copic markers:-
Bunnies – C3, C0, C00 RV10, RV0000
Daffodils – YR07, Y21, Y00, YG13, YG11
Bluebirds – B32, B41, BG70
Sun – Y21, Y00
Lady Bug – R83, R81, T5, T3, N1
Damselfly – W3, BG11
I backed each little die cut image with dimensional foam tape and starting with the bunny duo, I began to build out the scene.
To finish the card I applied the stamped and die cut sentiment and I used Copics YG13 and YG11 to and interest, shadow and ground the elements.
The decorative panel was then backed with white craft foam and applied to an A2 card panel then to the card base. Card done!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I’ll see you back here next Saturday with something new.
Nicky
