Hello, fellow crafters and happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Brenda back with you today!! I’m definitely ready for spring weather, even though we’re supposed to get 7″-12″ of snow here on Tuesday!! I decided to pull out the Elegant Peony Die Set to create my own springtime!!
I began by die-cutting all the dies in the Elegant Peony Die Set from white cardstock, then blending the color onto the die-cuts using dye inks and blending brushes. I splattered them with diluted white ink, then set them aside to dry.
For the background, I die-cut the Postage Stamps Cover Die from white cardstock. I placed the Postage Stamps Stencil over it and blended aqua dye ink into the openings and left the stencil in place once I was finished. The Tiny Dots Stencil was placed over the Postage Stencil and darker aqua ink was blended over it before removing both stencils. A panel of pink cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangle Die Set and the postage die-cut was adhered with liquid glue. The peony die-cuts were layered and adhered together using liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card.
The sentiment is from the Grateful For You Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them behind the black one, then added it to the front of the card. A sprinkling of clear confetti finishes off the card and adds a bit of shine.
That’s it for me today!! I hope this brings a bit of springtime into your day!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!
