Welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog, this is Nicky with you today with a cheerful Spring card that is a pretty quick make all things considered.
My card features the Spring Tulips Stencil from the amazing April 18th new release. I took a white A2 panel of cardstock and I used the stencils from the set in numbered order and ink blended each one. The inks that I used are from The Stamp Market and are Leafy, Gumdrop, Blush Pink, Petal and Fuchsia.
I used the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set to give the panel the quilted edge and then I glued the panel to my card base.
I then took the new Essential Sentiments Die Set and I die cut sturdy white cardstock twice using the ‘A Gift for You’ sentiment from the many included in the set and then I die cut once more from a shining gold cardstock. I carefully glued these die cuts in stacks for a nice dimensional look and I arranged and glued the sentiment in the corner of the card.
For the simple finishing touch I used some ‘Splash Drops’ in two different sizes which are pre gummed and easily adhered in place. Card done!
If you need a card and you’re short on time, consider the Spring Tulips Stencil and imagine all the different colours you could use to reinvent the tulips every single time. This card could also be done in far more subtle colours for a sympathy card or something of that nature.
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you back here next Saturday with something new.
Nicky
