Hi friends
Cheryl here from Cheryl Espie Creates.
I’m back on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today to share some Valentine’s Day card inspiration!
I think it was a given that I would find a reason to use the Hello Lovely Stamp and Matching Die Set again. This stamp is fabulous! It’s big and bold and has a big and bold die to match. This is just what I needed for the card I am sharing because I wanted to do some partial die cutting.
Big dies are handy for this technique as its easier to see where you can place the cutting plate to ensure an accurate cut.
I have a reel up on Instagram at @cherylespiecreates which will show the technique in action. It’s far easier to watch it than to explain here.
Let’s look at some of the details with my design. There is a lot of Copic colouring here, which my reel also demonstrates. The Copic markers colours are R39, R46, R89, G85, G94, G99 & Y11. I love to add detail when finishing up a card so here I added some white highlights and dots using a White Gel Roll pen size 10.
To finish, I added some bling and a big bold sentiment from the same Hello Lovely Stamp Set.
You get a more interactive card, but with not much extra time spent creating it that a standard A2 card.
Please pop over to my Instagram @cherylespiecreates to see my reel demonstrating how this card came together.
Until next time crafty friends….
