Hello, hello crafty friends! How are ya doing today? It’s me – Amanda! I’m so happy to be here with you on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today!
Today, I’m sharing a birthday card I made using the Andalusia Wildflowers Die Set! I love how you can customize this die set to any layout and any mixture of flowers! I used ALL the dies included in this set because… why not?! You can never have too many flowers, right?!
Each of the dies were initially cut from white cardstock. Then, I ink blended each individual piece with Catherine Pooler inks. Here are the inks I used: Chiffon, Limoncello, Tiara, Catching Rays, Minted, Aquatini, Pucker Up, Flirty Fuschsia, Melon Ice, and Grass Skirt.
After seeing how bright and beautiful the flowers turned out, I thought that they NEEDED to go on a black background so they stand out! So, I trimmed a piece of black cardstock to 4″x5.5″ and then arranged the flowers on it. I adhered the flowers with liquid glue and foam squares. Next, I splattered watered down white acrylic paint over the entire panel.
The sentiment is from the Birthday Bouquet Stamp Set. I stamped it with my clear embossing pad, added white embossing powder, and then melted the powder with my heat tool. I die cut it out with the coordinating die set. I added a foam strip behind the sentiment to prop it up.
I glued my black panel to an A2 white card base and I was finished! This will make a perfect birthday card for a friend!
