Vibrant pink peonies paired with a sophisticated gray and eggplant background of more florals creates the perfect balance of elegance and warmth on today’s handmade card. The delicate blooms take center stage, bringing a touch of timeless beauty while the sentiment, “Wishing You a Beautiful Day,” adds a heartfelt finishing touch. I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Lush Peony Bouquet Press + Foil Plate
Lush Peony Bouquet Press + Foil Plate and Stencil Bundle (Note: The stencil is only available in this bundled package)
Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate and Die Set
This floral card measures 5″ wide X 7″ tall and fits inside an A7 envelope. The card base is made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock. Now for the details…
To create this card, I used the Lush Peony Bouquet Press + Foil Plate and Stencil Bundle to print the peonies image on white cardstock using an eggplant ink color designed for press plates. I colored the peonies in pink using the coordinating stencil. I added additional coloring details for more dimension, using Copic Sketch Markers. I used cool grays for the leaves (instead of traditional greens) and red-violet pinks for the blossoms. I die cut the design using the coordinating die.
For the background, I cut a 5″ X 7″ piece of medium gray cardstock. I used the Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate and Die Set to print the floral design on the top half of the card front using the same eggplant ink designed for press plates. I printed two on the background and added white highlights using my acrylic white marker. I added some dots around the design for additional detail and brightness.
I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner from the stamp set, Beautiful Day stamp set using Versamark Watermark pad. I embossed the sentiment using WOW! white embossing powder. I attached the peonies bouquet over the background using foam tabs. Finally, I added maroon pearl gem stickers around the bouquet and attached the card front to the card base.
