Hello friends! My card today features two sweet friends enjoying time together in a field of flowers. I love this sweet mice duo and wanted to make a fall card featuring them. I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Sweet Friends stamps and coordinating dies
Beautiful Day stamps and coordinating dies
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a card base made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock. For the floral field, I used the beautiful floral border from the stamp set, Beautiful Day. I die cut it using the coordinating dies. and attached it to the bottom of the card front. I colored the design using Copics Sketch Markers in the following colors: R89, R29, R14, YG67, YG17, YG05, YR24, YR19, and YR08. I also added some white highlights using a white Gelly Roll Pen.
Next, I stamped, die cut and colored the mice, a picnic basket, and stocking caps from the Sweet Friends stamps set. For the mice, I used W5, W3, W1 and R20 for the interior of the ears. For the clothing and florals, I used the same Copics mentioned earlier. I also did the same with a few individual florals from the Beautiful Day set and added them to the front. I splattered yellow watercolor paint to the front of the card in a diagonal direction and stamped two sentiments in the upper right corner to complete the card.
