Hello Crafty friends,
Sylvie @kaliscards here with a sneak peek at the new Alex Syberia Designs release. Don’t miss ou blog hop and giveaway later today!
For my first project with the new release, I created a faux postcard with the new Penguin love stamp set and Heart collage die.
To create this card, I started by die cutting the Postage stamps cover die from white cardstock. I used my scissors to cut one postage stamp and then ran it again through my die cutting machine with the cover die, to create a smaller postage stamp.
I also die cut the whole Postage stamps cover die from white cardstock to create the background panel. I then cut a panel from white cardstock to place over the postage panel and give the illusion of a big postage stamp instead of 4.
On that small panel, I stamped the Penguin with the letter and mailbox, from the Penguin love stamp set. I also stamped the images on masking paper and fussy cut the images. And I then adhered the masks on the panel.
Next, I die cut the Heart collage die from cardstock and used it as a stencil to blend Distress oxides Kitsch flamingo and Tattered rose in the background.
On the small postage stamp, I stamped the small letter and masked it and the top of the pengin in the gift. I also masked the Penguin. I added masking tape all around the postage stamp and blended Kitsch flamingo and Festive berries on the edges.
I unmasked all images on the postcard and postage stamp. I drew the vertical and horizontal lines with a ruler and Copic liner. Next, I stamped all the sentiments from the Penguin love and From our hearts stamp sets, as well as the tiny heart from the Penguin love set with Distress oxide Festive berries. On the postage stamp, I stamped the price from the Special delivery set and the Hugs sentiment from the Cindy Lou’s Poppies stamp set.
I colored the images with Copic markers. I adhered the postage stamp on the postcard with liquid adhesive and then stamped the postmarks with black ink.
Finally, I adhered the panel onto the Postage stamp cover with liquid adhesive and added foam tape at the back before adhering it onto the cardbase.
Thank you for stopping by and don’t miss our blog hop!
