Hi friends. Today’s card is for all those mom’s and loved ones that live further away. We’re sending lots of love with plenty of pretty postage showcasing vibrant petals on this card! I’m combining a new product with some previous releases for this 5″ X 7″ card. Here’s the list of Alex Syberia Designs products I used:
From Our Hearts Stamp Set and coordinating From Our Hearts Die set
Now for the details…

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I die cut the elements to make the florals and bow on the postage stamps. Using greens, lavenders, berry and gold cardstock, I made two fuchsia blooms using the Magical Fuchsia Die Set. The daisy, trio of lavender blooms and the pink bow were made using the Charming Medallions Die Set. I use my white ink pen to create the highlight marks on the bow, petals and greenery. Once they were assembled, I worked on the backgrounds next.
To make the background, I die cut the quad postage stamps from white cardstock using the Postage Stamps Cover Die. To color the individual, colorful postage backgrounds, I used the Postage Stamps Stencil as a mask and Distress Oxide Inks in Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry colors. I blended the colors, allowing them to overlap. Notice that each stamp is different. Have fun overlapping the colors, too! With the stencil still on and masking the clean, white borders, I splattered the stamped backgrounds with white acrylic paint. I set it aside to dry.
I stamped the “Love” script word from the From Our Hearts Stamp Set in red ink and cut it out using the coordinating From Our Hearts Die set. I backed the scripted die cut with two more unstamped white die cut layers to make it thicker. I also backed the postage stamp quad with a piece of light yellow cardstock. This helps make the pretty postage borders more prominent instead of laying white on white. I cut a card base 10″ wide X 7″ tall and scored it down the middle to make a 5″ X 7″ card base. I used a light gray marker (that does not bleed) to hand draw some simple hearts pattern on the card base front.

Lastly, I I attached all the layers to the card base including using foam tabs behind the magical fuchsia blossoms to make them stand out the most. I stamped, “Sending Love” in black under the bottom, right corner. I attached the Love script to the center of the postage stamps. This card is ready to send some love to a mom, sister, friend, or anyone else that needs to know they are loved today!
