Hello Crafty friends,
This is Sylvie @kaliscards, showcasing the beautiful ‘Spring In Kyoto’ release from Spellbinders designed by Alex Syberia Designs.
To create this card, I first stamped the Kokeshi doll and Cherry blossoms on Copic-friendly cardstock and black ink.
I colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut the images.
For the sentiment, I used the Blossoms and sentiments press plate which I hot foiled on red cardstock with Spellbinders white matte foil. I then used the coordinating banner die from the set.
For the background, I cut a panel 4″ by 5.5″ from white cardstock and blended Distress oxides Festive berries, Kitsch flamingo and Spun sugar to create a gradient from top to bottom.
I adhered the panel onto the cardbase, glued the sentiment with liquid adhesive, and finally adhered the cherry blossoms and doll with foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next week.
Have a lovely crafty week!
Sylvie
