This is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a cheerful card idea to wish someone a Happy New Year! This card showcases Alex Syberia’s Carnival Party Stencil & Die Set together with their Foxtrot Alphabet Die Set and Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set.
The card started with a sturdy white A2 panel of cardstock. I used the stencil and just ink blended through it using pink then yellow inks. I then came in and softly ink blended the tops and sides of the panel with more of the same pink ink. The panel was die cut using the Quilted Rectangles Die. It was glued to a fractionally larger white panel and that was glued to a fractionally larger pale grey panel then to the card base.
Using the Foxtrot Alphabet Die, I die cut more of my sturdy white cardstock and then shimmering gold cardstock to form three sets of letters making the Happy New Year sentiment. The letters were glued in stacks and then to the background
To finish the card I dotted in some glimmer with a metallic gel pen and I added 3 sizes of flat cup gold sequins like falling confetti. Lastly I decided to come in with a white gel pen and highlight the cascading ribbons which made the pop a little more!
