Hello friends!
Raquel here today sharing a colorful rainbow design using the gorgeous Fancy Background Stencil from Alex Syberia Designs.
This card will be featured on the Creative Stamping Magazine issue 116, which will be on sale on December, 8th in the UK.
I started off my project by taping the stencil to a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 note card. I used low tack tape so it wouldn’t tear the cardstock when I remove it.
Next up I picked the inks to do all my ink blending. I decided to use Distress Inks: Blueprint Sketch, Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed, Candied Apple and Picked Raspberry. I made sure to overlap colors so as to create a new color in between.
Once the ink blending was done, I decided to step up the design a bit by turning it into an infinity shaker card. I grabbed some plastic from packaging, adhered to the back with double sided tape and closed all sides except the top one. I put some chunky glitter and extra fine glitter to add some shine. Since the background was already colorful enough I did not want to add any extra elements with more color so I went with just sparkling glitter.
Last but not least, I added my sentiment. I used this gorgeous Hello Lovely friend from the Hello Lovely Stamp Set
I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Oxyx Black ink and the clear heat emboss it.
As a final touch, I also added some white vellum leaves from the Life is Good Stamp set
I hope this design inspires you to create!
Thank you so much for stoping by!
Crafty Hugs!
