Welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog, this is Nicky with you today, sharing a card made with the ‘Collecting Memories’ stamp set which is not new to many of you but new to me as a newer member of the ASD Design Team – and I love it!
To kick things off I used the smaller of the two dies included in the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set and die cut a white panel of cardstock. I ink blended the panel to create a super soft focal point using Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Ink. I then glued this panel to a slightly larger panel of kraft cardstock and then this was glued to a white A2 card base.
I stamped images from Collecting Memories using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and I coloured using the following Copic marker combinations:-
Bear – E77, E74, E44, E43, E42, E41
Bear’s Jeans – B99, B97, B95, B93
Fox – E37, E99, E13, E11, C3, C1
Blush – R22, R20
Cart – E77, E74, E44, E42
Scarves – YR09
Flowers – YR09, YR04, Y19
Clouds – B91, C1, C0
I did just a little highlighting with a white gel pen then die cut the images using the coordinating dies.
I backed each die cut image (including the sentiment) with dimensional foam tape and applied them to the ink blended background. I used a few toning sequins from my stash as little accents and with that, this friendship card was complete.
Happy cardmaking friends, I’ll be back same time next week with something new.
