Hello Crafty friends,
Sylvie @kaliscards here with a shaker card that will inspire you to stretch your dies.
Spring is here and I’m already obsessed with strawberries!
I inked the Abstract floral background with Strawberry BetterPress ink and then strawberries, strawberries, strawberries… that’s all I could remember!
To create this card, I inked the background panel on a Spellbinders BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel Porcelain White 320gsm, using the Abstract floral background press plate and the Spellbinders Press plate system with Strawberry BetterPress ink.
I then trimmed the panel to a 4.25″ x 4.25″ square. I then used the largest die from the Quirky heart die set to create an opening on the right for the strawberry shaker. I taped acetate at the back of the panel, added foam tape and poured a mix of strawberry clay embellishments and red sequins. I closed the shaker with red cardstock, added liquid adhesive at the back of the red cardstock and adhered the panel onto the cardbase.
I then used the Delicate blooms die set and die cut the strawberry calyx from green cardstock, using the second and fourth largest bloom dies and adhered them with double-sided tape at the bottom and foam tape at the top.
I also press printed the sentiment using the Classic sentiments press plate with black ink and used the coordinating die.
I stamped the cute mouse from the Sweet friend set and strawberry balloon from the Spring bunnies set on white cardstock and colored the images with Copic markers. I used the Sweet friend and Spring bunnies coordinating dies to cut the images.
To finish the card, I adhered the images and sentiment with foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next week.
Have a lovely crafty week!
