Hello everyone, welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog. This is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing my first Christmas card of the year. Christmas themes are undoubtedly my favourite and I like to start early so that I have many to mail out when December rolls around. To create this card I’ve used the following Alex Syberia Designs products:-
Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate
I took an A2 white panel of cardstock and used the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set to create the pierced edge. This was attached to the card base. I used a smaller die from the same set to create a smaller panel which I then hot foiled using the Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate. I backed the little panel with foam tape and applied it at an angle to the main panel.
I die cut white and mirrored silver cardstock using the Snowflake Layering Die. I adhered the white smaller piece to the silver background with foam tape and adhered to the angled panel.
Next job was to create the Falala sentiment. I took the Falala Die and die cut white cardstock 4 times with the shadow piece and glued them in a stack, then I die cut red cardstock to create the focal point word and adhered that on top then glued to the card.
I stamped the images from Falala Friends in black ink, coloured with Copic markers then die cut using the coordinating dies. The images were applied to the background with foam tape and highlighted with a white gel pen.
The final touch was the addition of several holographic sequins to add that essential Christmas sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today, happy crafting!
Nicky
