Hello everyone, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs Blog and I’m sharing a new card featuring the gorgeous and flamboyant Summer Flower Press Plate. I absolutely LOVE this design, you just have so many choices for how to colour it. The last time I used the press plate I made a Sunflower and I hot foiled it in gold. This time I was inspired by a Clematis from my garden.
I have used the following products:-
Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die
Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
I took a pale pink panel of cardstock and I hot foiled using the Summer Flower Press Plate, I used a pale purple foil to achieve this. I fussy cut the image and coloured the image using Copic markers in V09, V17, V15, V12 and V01, also … YG13, YG03, YG01, Y15, Y04 and Y00 for the centre. I came in with a dark purple gel pen to create the finer lines in the design.
I took a white panel of cardstock and die cut using the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set which gave it the faux stitched edge. I adhered this to the card base then backed the Summer Flower image with foam tape and adhered it to the right hand edge.
I used the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die to create the ‘You are the Best’ sentiment, hot foiling in a holographic gold and I die cut and applied to the flower with more foam tape.
The finishing touch was to apply some water droplet style embellishmenst and then this simple but striking card design was complete.
