Hi friends! I’m feeling a little fall-ish today with the kids back in college. The weather is beginning to change at the lake and so are my card colors! I got out some rust, gold and taupe to make this 5″ X 7″ card. I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Beautiful Day stamp set and coordinating dies
My card below measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front and card base. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. My white Gelly Roll Pen is my go-to for adding any white highlights. Here’s the details.
To make this card, I flicked gold, and metallic bronze watercolor ink onto my white card base. I die cut black cardstock using the Floral Splendor die. I attached the die cut to my card base using adhesive. I positioned it so that the left side was covered by the floral background design.
I die cut the stem section of the Mysterious Petals Die Set from a warm gray / taupe cardstock. I die cut the pretty petals from fall shades of cardstock and assembled the flowers. For the leaves, I used the warm gray and added some green shades to them using Copic Markers in YG99, YG95 and YG03.
I attached the flowers to the stem, attached the stem to the card front, positioning half of it over the black floral design. I also die cut the sentiment, “wishing you a beautiful day” using the Beautiful Day stamp set and coordinating dies. I cut the phrase into three lines (versus 2) to make it fit on my card with no overlap. Finally, gem stickers in a rust and gold were attached to accent the flowers.
