Happy Monday, friends!! Brenda back with another card featuring the amazing Magical Fuchsia Collection!! This week, I combined the Magical Fuchsia Die Set with a sentiment from the Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate & Die Set!! I absolutely LOVE this die set!!
I began by die-cutting the Magical Fuchsia Die Set from dark pink, plum and green cardstock. I added shading with dye inks and blending brushes, then went in with alcohol markers to deepen some of the shadows. All the die-cuts were adhered together with liquid glue.
For my background, I die-cut the second largest scalloped rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set from light blue cardstock. I adhered the fuchsias to the panel with liquid glue and trimmed the excess from the edges. The two largest rectangle dies in the Good Day Quilted Rectangle Die Set were cut from white and plum cardstock. Liquid glue was used to adhere all three panels together.
The sentiment, from the Magical Fuchsia Press + Foil Plate & Die Set, was pressed onto white cardstock with plum die ink using the BetterPress System. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die, along with three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. They were stacked and adhered together, then added to the bottom right area of the card. (I find that I get better results by stacking die-cuts if I’m adhering them over other die-cuts.) Small dark pink iridescent gems were added to the stamen of each fuchsia to finish off the card and add a bit of sparkle.
Every card NEEDS a little sparkle, don’t you agree?!? I’ll have one more card to share with you next week using products from this beautiful collection!!
