Hello Crafty friends,
Sylvie @kaliscards here with a sneak peek at the new line of products launched later today.
Alex Syberia Designs are introducing Press plates with coordinating stencil sets and die sets! How exciting!
Of course, the plates also foil beautifully, offering so many possibilities.
To create this card, I inked three background panels on Spellbinders BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panels Porcelain White 320gsm, using the Abstract background press plate and the Spellbinders Press plate system with black BetterPress ink.
I cut two of the panels at 1/3 and 2/3 of the panel, to add a little dimension and interest to the background.
I then used the coordinating stencil to ink each section of the background into a rainbow, blending Ranger Distress inks Kitsch flamingo, Festive berries and Crackling campfire on the smallest panel, then, Mustard seed, Twisted citron shaded with Rustic wilderness on the middle panel, and Peacock feathers, Salty ocean, Prize ribbon, Milled lavender and finally Wilted violet on the complete panel.
I stamped the two unicorns and clouds from the Always be yourelf stamp set on white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I also used the Nuvo glitter pen Midas touch to add gold shimmer on the tails, horns and manes, as well as the clouds. I used the coordinating dies to die cut the images.
I also used the Classic sentiments press plate and black ink for the sentiment.
I stamped a few stars from the Always be yourself set on the background, with Versamark ink, and heat set with gold glitter embossing powder.
To assemble the card, I adhered the large background panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive. I then added foam tape at the back of the middle panel and adhered it on top of the large one. And finally I added more foam tape at the back of the smaller panel before adhering it on top of the middle one.
I also adhered the unicorns, clouds and sentiment with foam tape.
Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next week.
Have a lovely crafty week!
