Happy Monday, crafty friends!! Brenda back with you today!! I hope you had a great weekend!! How are your Christmas preparations going? I just have a couple of gifts left to wrap. We are hosting my family on Christmas Day, so I’ll be cleaning all day today!! I’d much rather be crafting!!
Anyway, let’s get to my card for today!! I always need thank you cards after the holidays and I’ve been itching to heat emboss and watercolor the floral image in the Grateful for You Stamp Set!!
I began by stamping the floral bouquet from the Grateful for You Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock with Versamark ink and embossing it with white embossing powder. I colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I added dots to the stamen with a yellow gel pen.
For the background, I die-cut the Floral Lattice Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a panel of aqua cardstock. (Sorry, I just realized that this cover die must have been discontinued.) The floral die-cut was adhered using liquid glue and the panel was splattered with diluted white bleed-proof ink and set aside to dry.
The sentiment is from the Thank You & Hello Die Set. The top layer was cut from pink cardstock once and heavyweight white cardstock two times, then the shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card. A trio of pink confetti sequins on opposite corners of the card finishes it off and adds a bit of shine.
That does it for me today!! Wishing all who celebrate Christmas a very happy holiday and all the best in the new year!!
