Hello! This is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a brand new card featuring one of the delightful stamp sets that were included in the new release that launched back on the 22nd. This card showcases the cute ‘Smile More’ stamp set.
I created this mini slimline card by creating a card base with finished proportions of 3 1/2 inches x 6 inches. To this I added a pink panel of cardstock which was a little smaller and then I prepared a white panel which was slightly smaller than the pink one.
I masked a line and ink blended above it with Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks. I moved the mask and ink blended below the line with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Oxide Inks for the floor. I glued the mats together and to the card base.
I stamped the Smile More images with black ink and coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-
Penguins – N5, N3, N1, YR07, Y19, Y38, C3, C1, C0, C00, R000
Blushes – R22, R21, R20, R00
Sofa – BG75, BG72, BG11, C3, C1
Table – C3, C1, C0
Bunny Slippers & Book – E44, E31, E41
Teapot & Book – RV63, RV52, C3, C1, CO
Shadows – W1, W0
Using a white gel pen I highlighted some points on the coloured images and and I added a design to the sofa. I used the coordinating dies for the Smile More stamp set to die cut the images which I applied to the background with dimensional foam tape.
For the finishing touches, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it using the coordinating die and die cut a few more times from white cardstock, I then glued them in a stack and then to the card.
A few Nuvo Crystal Drops in ‘Bubblegum Blush’ were added for subtle accents and then this card was finished.
Thanks so much for visiting the blog today, I’ll be back next Saturday with something brand new to share.
Nicky
