Bursting with vibrant shades of pink and rich violet, this floral greeting card celebrates the beauty of bold blooms and cheerful color. To finish the design, a soft lavender bow wraps everything together, adding an elegant touch that perfectly complements the vivid florals. Whether you’re sending birthday wishes, celebrating a special occasion, or simply brightening someone’s day, this handmade card is a lovely way to share a heartfelt message.
My 5″ X 7″ card features the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Hugs in Bloom Bundle – Press + Hot Foil Plate, stencil and die set bundle
Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating Wrapped With Love die set
Floral Trio Press + Hot Foil Plate + Stencil Bundle
The card base, card front, bow / interior of bow, the press plate designs and stamped verse are all on white Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock.
To make this 5″ x 7″ card, I used the Hugs in Bloom Bundle – Press + Hot Foil Plate, stencil and die sets, and Floral Trio Press + Hot Foil Plate + Stencil Bundle to press, color and die cut the florals. I hand cut two of the individual Floral Trio flowers to add to the Hugs in Bloom floral bouquet. I stenciled the designs using Distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet, and Shaded Lilac. The combination of those colors created even more vibrant and interesting violet shades. The greenery was stenciled using Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks.
I used the Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating Wrapped With Love dies to make the beautiful bow frame for the card. After stamping it in black on white cardstock, I colored it using Copic Markers in blue violet and violet shades including BV00, BV11, V04 and V01. For the inset of the frame, I used the Classic Stripe Stencil and Wilted Violet, and Shaded Lilac blended together to create the stripes pattern. I attached the bow frame and frame inset to the card front. I added the florals, using foam tabs to adhere them. This makes them stand out from the patterned background. I also added a sentiment from the Wrapped With Love stamp set in the lower right corner. To finish the card, I used my white ink pen to add to add highlights and and centers to the flowers.
