There’s nothing more fun than a new pair of shoes for a fabulous woman. This card celebrates the birthday girl with a set of wild animal print shoes. Let’s “walk on the wild side” with this sharply-dressed shoe birthday card!
I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating Wrapped With Love dies
Shoe Sentiments Press Plate and Die set
Fancy Shoes Press Plate and coordinating die set
My card measures 5″ X 7″ and is made from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. The card front panel and frame are also made from the same cardstock.

To make this card, I used the Fancy Shoes Press Plate and coordinating die set to make the shoes. I used the animal print shoe plate and pressed the design in black ink. I colored the shoes using Copic Sketch Markers E43, E42 and E50 to create a tan background. I also colored the inside of the shoe in a tan color. Once the shoes were done, I stamped and die cut the frame from the Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating Wrapped With Love dies. I also die cut the inside of the frame from a piece of red cardstock that was die cut using the Tiny Hearts Cover die. For the frame, I used a Copic 100 Black Marker to add stripes to the ribbon frame. I cut four white flowers using the Chic Shoes Die Set.
I assembled the card on a 5″ X 7″ card front panel, cut from white cardstock. I added the bow frame and the tiny hearts interior piece to the inside of the frame. I attached the shoes using foam tabs under the heels of the shows and glue under the tips of the shoes to make them stand out. I overlapped the shoes for interest. I added flowers around the shoes at the bottom of the frame. For the three flowers around the shoes, I added simple black random dots to the centers of the flowers using a fine-tip black marker. I attached one gold pearl gem sticker to the center of each blossom.
I used the Shoe Sentiments Press Plate and Die set to create the two sentiments on the card. I cut the “have fun” to fit inside this homemade letterboard that I added to the top bow. I hand drew some hearts on the board made from white cardstock. I die cut the “on your birthday” and attached it between the shoes and the letterboard. I had some extra pom poms/floral centers from the Chic Shoes Die Set so I glued them around the frame for another stylish element. I also added the fourth flower over the top bow frame with a pompom center and a gem sticker to make it a little different from the flowers at the bottom. I made the white dots using a Gelly Roll White Pen. Lastly, I added a little shading around the bow frame to make it more dimensional. I attached the card front to a white A7 card base to complete the look. It’s time to walk on the wild side with this new pair of shoes!
