Well hello there! This is Nicky with you today on the blog and I’m sharing a ‘sending hugs’ card that was created using a lovely selection of Alex Syberia Designs products – it’s a lot of fun to just keep on reinventing these products and finding new ways with them.
To create this card I have used:-
Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set
Cheerful Meadow Die (bird)
Classic Foliage Die Set (green sprigs)
Butterfly Bliss Die Set (blooms)
Essential Sentiments Press Plate
I used the Charming Floral Stencil Set to create the background which I adhered to my card base. I framed it out using the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set. I applied the frame with foam tape..
Using the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set I die cut heavyweight vellum and white cardstock in order to create the two focal point panels with the scalloped edge. I ink blended the white panel with green and dotted in some interested then glued it to the vellum panel and then this was all applied with dimensional tape behind it.
I took some coloured cardstock and die cut the bird, foliage and blooms. With the bird and the blooms I added some ink blending, then I assembled the pieces with glue and applied to the focal point blending either glued directly or popped up on foam tape. I added a little white gel pen highlighting.
Lastly I applied a hot foiled sentiment using the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set … this was also applied with foam tape and with that this card was finished.
Thanks for reading the blog today, happy crafting!
Nicky
