Well hello there! This is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I have a sweet birthday card to share with you that combines several products from the shop. I have used the Abstract Background Press Plate (but I hot foiled with it only) together with the coordinating Abstract Background Stencil. I have also used the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set, Sweet Friend stamp set and coordinating dies, Celebrations Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Thin Strips Cover Die.
I took a panel of white cardstock and I hot foiled in gold using the Abstract Background Press Plate. I then came in with the stencil and I used pink and mint coloured inks to ink blend and I left some areas white for contrast. I applied this panel to my card base.
I cut some heavy duty vellum and glued it to the background. Over this I layered a die cut of white cardstock created using the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. I ink blended it softly and glued it down to the vellum.
I had previously hot foiled and die cut all of the sentiments from Celebrations Sentiments Hot Foil Plate so that I always have a little stash of them on hand. I chose my sentiment for this card and glued it edge to edge over the layered panels. It’s just lovely having these metallics in your projects, it adds a little glamorous fun.
I stamped a mouse and umbrella from the Sweet Friend stamp set and I coloured with Copic markers.
Mouse – E42, E41, E40, W00, R22, R20, R00, R0000
Mint – G00, BG11, G000, G0000
Pink – R22, R20, R00, R000, R0000
Beige – E41, E40, W00
I die cut the images and applied them with dimensional foam tape.
To finish up I found some gold gemstone type embellishments in my stash and I glued a few in place and I highlighted sparingly with my white gel pen!
Thank you so much for stopping by to read about my card today, I hope you’re inspired to create!
Nicky
