Friends, snowflakes, presents, peace and joy… It’s a fun time to be these two pals. It’s Bobbi Lemanski with a very merry card for the holidays. I’m using the following products available at Simon Says Stamp:
Falala Friends stamps and coordinating dies set
Christmas Sentiments stamps and coordinating dies set
My card is 5″ X 7″ in size. I used Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock for the card base, front panel die, and die cuts. I use Copic Markers for coloring the images. Here’s the details…
This card is all about layers. I used the Sparkly Flakes Cover die for the white wintery background. Because my card is 5″ wide, I ran the cover die horizontally at the top and added a grayish aqua green to the bottom section along with a leftover border piece of the snowflakes at the bottom. Between the two pieces, I attached some fun and dimensional greens and berries using the Winter Foliage die set. The greens were cut from the aqua and white cardstock. The berries were cut from white cardstock and colored using Copics in R89, R29, R17, and R14. A white highlight mark (using A white Gelly Roll Pen) on the top of each berry creates more depth in the berries.
Above the green strip, I stamped, colored, and cut the animals using the Falala Friends stamps and coordinating dies. I used blush pinks for the pig (R00, R01, R11 R20, R21) and golden browns for the bunny (E53, E51, E50, R00). I used reds, pinks and aquas for the accessories such as the ear muffs, scarf, etc. For the aquas, I used BG75, BG72, BG71 and for the reds and pinks, I used the colors I used for the red berries and pink pig colors.
After attaching the Snowflake Layering die cuts to the front panel, I attached the animals. I stamped the “peace & joy” sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments stamps and coordinating dies set in two tones of pink and red, cut it and attached it over the snowflake using foam tabs. A little bird and berries were added to the top. Presents were added to the front along with some pink pearls to finish the card.
