Hello Crafty friends,
Sylvie @kaliscards here.
I’m sharing one of the last projects for the Creative Stamping Magazine featuring the Sweet friend release.
I started by cutting a panel from white cardstock 11 by 14 cm. I foiled one half of the panel, vertically, using the Beautiful Day Hot Foil Plate and Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Moondust. I then removed the hot foil plate and let it cool down for a few minutes. I then foiled the other side of the panel, in a mirror effect. I rotated the plate by 180 degrees and to align perfectly with the first foiled pattern, I placed the plate facing down aligning the plate on the pattern. I then taped one side of the plate on the panel and lifted the plate to slide in the glimmer hot foil.
I then used the coordinating stencil set and Distress oxides to color the background panel:
Stencil 1: Squeezed lemonade and Mustard seed
Stencil 2: Wild honey
Stencil 3: Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon
I skipped Stencil 4 as those details are covered by the hot foil plate
I trimmed the panel down to 9,5 by 12,8 cm and blended Scattered Straw around the edges of the panel.
Using the larger heart die from the Quirky Hearts die set, placing the heart in the upper part of the panel, I drew a line inside the heart as an indication of the area to cut out. I also die cut the large heart die from Teal glitter cardstock, from a Toga paper pad, called Oh glitter. With a craft knife, I cut out the heart shape on the front panel, outside the pencil line, and used a pair of scissors to adjust, checking multiple times how the heart frame adjusted to the opening. Once done, I adhered the heart frame on the front panel with liquid adhesive.
I then die cut the rear panel from white cardstock with the Charming Flora cover die and adhered it on the cardbase with liquid adhesive.
Next, I stamped the mouse from the Sweet Friend stamp set on white cardstock, with black ink, and colored the image with Copic markers: YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21, Y21 and E50. For the cheeks and ears, I used RV32, RV11, R00 markers. With a Soufflé black glaze pen, I added details to the eyes and muzzle. For the clothes, I used BG49, BG23, G00 and BG10. I then stamped the small flower image from the Beautiful Day stamp set 4 times and colored them with Copic markers YR27, YR24, YR21, Y21, BG49, BG23 and G00.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. I glued the mouse behind the heart opening and then added foam tape at the back of the mouse and panel. I adhered the floral panel over the white panel. Finally, I adhered the 4 florals and sentiment with foam tape on each angle and below the heart respectively.

Have a wonderful day!
