Happy Monday, crafters!! Brenda back with you today!! I’m sharing this card that combines the newer Butterfly Bliss Die Set with some older sets!! Combining new with older goodies is one of my favorite things to do!! I had the die-cuts from the Spring Clover Die Set left over from a previous card that I created, so this came together pretty quickly!!
I pulled out the left over die-cuts from the Spring Clover Die Set (you can read the details of how I created these here), then die-cut the side view of the Butterfly Bliss Die Set from black and white cardstock. I blended the same color of dye inks onto the white wing die-cuts, adhered them over the black layer, slightly offset, then adhered them to the back of the butterfly’s body. I added details with a white gel pen.
For the background, I die-cut the second largest die in the Good Day Rectangles Die Set from white cardstock. I blended the center of the panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink using the Frosty Lace Stencil, fading it out toward the edges. I splattered it, along with the clover and butterfly, with diluted black dye ink. The largest rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set was cut from white cardstock and blended with the lightest orchid dye ink that I used on the butterfly and clover. (I wanted an exact match and didn’t have cardstock that was the right color.) The rectangles were stacked and adhered together, then the clover was adhered with liquid glue, while the body of the butterfly was adhered with foam tape.
The sentiment is from the Spring Garden Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. I added a trail of black confetti coming from the butterfly to the other side of the sentiment to complete the card.
I love how all the products work so well together!! Plus, it works for a birthday, wedding or just about any other special occasion!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week!!
