The Stars Are the Limit – Smile and Wave

Hello, crafty friends and happy weekend!! I hope you have some fun crafty plans!!

I just love the sweet critters in the Smile and Wave Stamp Set and couldn’t wait to create another card with them!!

I began by stamping the penguin and star from the Smile and Wave Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For the background, I stamped the star repeatedly onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with yellow dye ink. I used a damp paintbrush and a bit of ink smooshed onto my glass mat to pull the color into the center of each star. I added a strip of black and white diagonal striped patterned paper to the right edge of an A2 card base, trimmed the watercolored panel slightly and adhered it to the left side of the card base. I adhered a very thin strip of yellow cardstock along the edge, where the two panels meet.

The sentiment, also from the Smile and Wave Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with its Coordinating Die. The penguin, star and sentiment were all popped up with foam adhesive, for dimension.

That’s it for me today!! Thanks so much for dropping by and spending a bit of your day with me!!
