Hello friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski bringing a little magic your way. I’m using a several new products from the latest Alex Syberia Designs September release for this 5″ X 7″ card including:
Illuminated Night Sky Hot Foil Plate and Die Set
Celebrations Sentiments Stamp Set
I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock for my card base and front panel.
To make this card, I blended Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers for an ombré of blue colors. I blended the inks, leaving 1/3 of the front panel white at the bottom. I splattered water over the top and blotted it dry with a paper towel to lift the color to make it splotchy. Once it was dry, I splattered Dr. PH Marten’s white ink over the blended background for more dimension. The white splatters remind me of white stars in the dark blue sky. I also splattered a light blue watercolor ink over the white bottom section, too.
Using the Illuminated Night Sky Hot Foil Plates and silver metallic foil, I foiled the fireworks designs on darker teal and royal blue cardstock colors. I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System to foil the images. Each one was cut out using the coordinating dies that come in the same set. I attached them to the card front, overlapping them and adding foam tabs to the back of the two foreground designs. I stamped the sentiment, “the magic is in you” and cut it using the Thin Stripes Cover Die. I also cut an aqua blue cardstock using the same cover die and used two pieces of the strip to flank both sides of the sentiment to make it stand out. Lastly, I added a few coordinating gem stickers above and below the fireworks to finish the card.
