Hello, friends!! Brenda back with you on this fine Monday!! Can you believe Christmas is only TEN DAYS away?!? I have a monochromatic pink card to share featuring the new Minimalist Flowers Press Plate & Die Set, along with the Abstract Background Stamp and Coordinating Die from the Hello & Hugs Collection!!
I started by pressing the Minimalist Flowers Press Plate onto white cardstock with black ink using the BetterPress System. After the ink was dry, I added color with blending brushes using the Minimalist Flowers Stencil Set and dye inks, then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. (You can save some $ and pick up the Minimalist Flowers Press Plate & Die Set, along with the Minimalist Stencil Bundle.)
For the background, I stamped the Abstract Background Stamp onto white cardstock with black ink. Once the ink was dry, I added color with the Abstract Background Stencil Set and the same colors of pink dye inks that I used on the flowers. The panel was die-cut with the largest pierced rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. The two largest scalloped dies in the same die set were die-cut from vellum. The flowers were adhered to the vellum, then the vellum was adhered to the background, adding liquid glue only behind the die-cut.
The sentiment is also from the Abstract Background Stamp. It was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I LOVE how this die cuts the sentiment so intricately. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them behind the black one for dimension, then adhered it to the front of the card. I used a black gel pen to add some shine to the dots in the centers of the flowers and added some pink confetti to balance out the left side of the card and draw your eye to the sentiment. I also added a bit of liquid glue behind the confetti to secure the vellum a little better to the background.
That does it for me!! Thank you so much for spending part of your Monday with me!!
