Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! Brenda back with you to share a thank you card that I shared in the Instagram hop on Friday!! I thought I would share the details for my card today!! There’s still time to join in the festivities on IG (& the blog hop from Wednesday) for your chance to win some fabulous prizes, so be sure to check those out!!
I started by pressing the beautiful Charming Floral Background Press Plate onto white cardstock using Copic-friendly black ink and the BetterPress System. I colored it with Copic markers and used a yellow gel pen to brighten up the stamen a bit. There’s also a coordinating stencil to fill in the flowers, if coloring isn’t your thing. Diluted white bleed-proof ink was splattered onto the panel using a paint brush.
Once the ink was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to another panel of white cardstock. I wrapped three strands of black and white twine around the panel vertically, then tied them into a bow. A panel of dark pink cardstock was die-cut with the largest die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangle Die Set and adhered to the back of the other two panels.
The sentiment, from the Classic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set, was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink and cut out with the included die. I popped it up on the front of the card with foam tape and this card was finished.
The details achieved with press plates is unmatched!! I can’t wait to use the stencil with this background!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!
