Thank You Card Featuring Cindy Lou’s Poppies

Hello, crafty friends and happy Saturday!! I hope you find some time to get crafty this weekend!!

Brenda here with a thank you card featuring some goodies from the new Thank You For Being My Friend Release!! The new release celebration continues with a HUGE hop over on Instagram today!! I’ll add a link at the end of my post so you can join in the fun over there!! There are prizes up for grabs!!

I couldn’t wait to color the stunning flowers from the Cindy Lou’s Poppies Stamp Set!! I stamped all of the images in the set with Copic-friendly black ink, colored them with with Copics, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For the background, I blended Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of white cardstock with a blending brush, heavier at the bottom and lighter toward the top. The Floral Lattice Cover Die (I can’t get enough of this die…love it!!) was cut from white cardstock and layered over the ink-blended panel. The flowers, stems and leaves were arranged and adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment was die-cut using the Large Thanks Die Set. I cut the top layer once from royal blue glitter cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock and the bottom layer from vellum. The layers were stacked and adhered together, then added to the front of the card.  To finish, I accented the centers of the poppy stamen with a yellow gel pen.

That’s it for me today!! Now hop on over to Instagram @alexsyberiadesigns to join in the festivities over there!!

Have a great weekend!!
