Thank You – Butterfly Bliss

Hello, friends and happy new week!! Brenda here sharing a card featuring the stunning Butterfly Bliss Die Set, along with a few older products to create this “thank you” card!!

I began by die-cutting the flowers and foliage from the Andalusia Wildflowers Die Set and the side view of the Butterfly Bliss Dies from white cardstock. I blended the flowers and leaves with soft colors of Distress Oxide Inks. I used Tattered Rose, Milled Lavender and Victorian Velvet for the flowers and Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage for the leaves. The butterfly wings were blended with Uncharted Mariner and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide and black dye ink and the body and antennae with black dye ink. Once the ink was dry, the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue.

For the background, I die-cut the Charming Flora Cover Die from white cardstock and blended it with the blue Distress Oxide Inks that I used on the butterfly, with the addition of Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio. I used the darker colors in the lower, left corner and blended it lighter toward the upper, right corner blending it out to white. The flower and leaves die-cuts were adhered with liquid glue and the entire panel was splattered with black dye ink.

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. It was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink using the BetterPress, cut out with the included die and popped up with foam tape. I added a little detail to the butterfly’s wings with a white gel pen, then added foam tape behind the body only and adhered it to the background to finish.

That does it for me today!! Thanks smooch for stopping by!! I’ll see you back here next Monday!!

Brenda
