Stitching on Cards

Hi crafty friends! Today I’m sharing my favorite way to get a completely different look from your cover plate dies!

For this card, I’m using the Fancy Cover Die. I die cut it out of thick white cardstock and then pierced through the piercing holes with a needle or awl so I could add stitching to it! You can see that in more detail in the video.

I then propped it up on strips of foam tape and all that’s left to do is add a sentiment.

I used the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and stamped the big and bold sentiment in Versamark ink using my Misti and embossed it with copper embossing powder. I heatset it and put it back in my Misti to stamp and emboss it again. This builds up the embossing powder to get a nice smooth look and a dimensional sentiment. I did it three times in total and die cut it with the Coordinating Dies.

I added that to my card along with a few embellishments et voilà! For more tips and tricks, watch the video here.
