Spring Garden – With Love On Your Special Day

Hello, crafty friends and happy Monday!! Brenda back with a card featuring the Spring Garden Stamp Set!! My husband had a total knee replacement on his left knee (seven weeks after he had the right one replaced) and I reeeallllyyy needed some coloring therapy!! I decided to pull out the Spring Garden Stamp Set for a bit of no-line coloring!! I absolutely LOVE coloring the flowers in this stamp set!!

I stamped the beautiful floral image from the Spring Garden Stamp Set onto  white cardstock with no-line coloring ink. I colored it with Copic markers, then added in more detail with colored pencils. The Coordinating Die was used to cut it out.

For the background, the Heart Garland Cover Die was cut from white cardstock and layered over a panel of periwinkle cardstock. The floral die-cuts were adhered to the background using foam tape for lots of dimension.

The sentiment is also from the Spring Garden Stamp Set. I use this sentiment A LOT…it’s just so versatile. It was white heat embossed onto royal blue cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. The largest and second smallest dies in the Quirky Hearts Die Set were cut from vellum and adhered behind the sentiment with liquid glue. Foam tape was added behind the sentiment and it was adhered to the background, using liquid glue where the sentiment overlapped the leaves.

This was exactly the therapy that I needed!! I LOVE how it turned out!! Plus, that sentiment can be used for so many occasions!!

Thanks so much for stopping by  today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you back here next Monday!!

Brenda
