Hi card making friends and welcome back. It’s Sandi MacIver here with a NEW CARD MAKING VIDEO for you, Alex Syberia Designs Spring Garden Stenciled Card. The new Alex Syberia Spring Garden Stamp/Die/Stencil Set is amazing. I absolutely love getting a layered stencil to coordinate with a stamp and die set because if gives you so many additional design options. Also when I have limited time to create a card, using the stencils is a real time saver.

My color choices today, are bold and light including a light and dark shade in each for maximum contrast. Then I add an ombre ink blended background with a ton of splatter . I quite love the tone on tone of the leaves against the background. I considered black flower centers, I considered it hard, but in the end, yellow won out, LOL.

How to create the Alex Syberia Designs Spring Garden Stenciled Card
Start with a half sheet of hammermill white cardstock in the Misti. Line up the first stencil and ink blend the light teal ink. Then switch to the second detailed leaf stencil and ink blend the dark teal ink.
Next, switch to stencil 3 and ink blend the light pink ink.
Finally, switch to stencil 4 and add the dark pink ink.
Creating the background:
Start by cutting a piece of hammermill cardstock 3-3/4″ x 5″.
Next, ink blend the panel in the three teal inks: Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine and Tidal Pond.
Then, splat with water, white acrylic ink and gold paint from the Gansai Tambi Gem Colors.
Finally, when the panel is dry, attach it to a top folding white A2 sized card base.
Then, attach the art piece with foam squares.
