Spring Flowers

Hi crafty friends! I’m Lien and I’m back with another video sharing a quick spring card using my favorite standalone dies.

I started by cutting all of the pieces I would need from some colored cardstock, but quickly got to assembling the card starting with the background. For that I used the Floral Lattice Cover Die cut twice from white cardstock and stacked together with liquid glue. I cut it once more from a light blue cardstock and adhered that on top slightly offset to create a layered effect. To my cardbase I added a piece of the same blue cardstock and then adhered the Floral Lattice die cut on top.

On this Floral Lattice, I want to create a band of greenery and some flowers. I used the Classic Foliage die set, cut three of the leaves various times from two shades of green cardstock and simply adhered all the pieces in one line on the card. I did it a little off center because I always prefer things to be just a bit off center on my cards.

I also cut all the pieces I’d need to create three flowers using the beautiful Fantasy Flowers die set. Before assembling them, I added some shading to one of the layers with ink blending, I have a really great trick to keep those in place if you want to watch it in the video below!

I added those three flowers on the band of foliage, tucking them in between the leaves. I adhered them all with liquid glue. I added a pre-made sentiment from the Spring Garden stamp set, white heat embossed onto black cardstock and die cut with the Coordinating dies. I propped that up on some foam tape. Finally I added a bunch of gold pearls. to add a bit of shine to this card.
