I’m so happy to be on Alex Syberia Designs blog today sharing another colorful design.
For today post, I wanted to share a slimline design with volume, white space and of course some splash of color using the For You Stamp set and coordinating dies.
I started my project by stamping the outline image of the leaves. Next up I aligned the solid stamp of the leaves with the outline leaves. I applied Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks with a foam applicator. I did not ink up the whole area of each leaf; only small areas each time until I achieved some highlights and depth.
Next up I stamped all the flowers using Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and Versafine Onyx Black Ink for the veins. Once I had all my flowers ready, I created my background using the Modern Stripes Cover Die.
I decided to cut out the die cut piece in two and adhere both pieces to an 4 x 7 1/2 inch card. I love to add volume to my designs so I foam mounted all the leaves and flowers and arranged them across the slimline card covering most of the space.
For my sentiment, I chose the For You phrase from the same set and white heat embossed it on black cardstock. I applied some splatters of gold watercolor and added some sequins here and there.
