Shades of Summer Thank You Card

Hello friends. It’s June and summer is almost here. I love citrus colors, cool blue shades of the sea and bright whites. Together, it’s a great combination of summer colors! My 5″ X 7″ card features the following Alex Syberia Designs products:

My 5″ X 7″ card is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base, press plate design, die cuts and the sentiment.

To make the card, I used the Abstract Background Press Plate and the Classic Sentiments Press Plate with BetterPress Black Ink to transfer the images on white cardstock. Using the coordinating Abstract Background Stencil Set, I added color to the background using Distress Oxide Ink in Carved Pumpkin, Antique Linen and Peacock Feathers and cut it to 5″ square. I matted the square pressed design using a cardstock to match the blue ink and attached the square to a white A7 card base.

I die cut the flowers and leaves using the Andalusia Wildflowers Die Set. I also cut five nested hearts from the Endless Hearts Die Set.  I added teal pearl gem stickers to the centers of the white blossoms. I attached the florals, greenery and hearts to the background, allowing the two smallest hearts of the five to extend beyond the matted background design. Lastly, I die cut the Classic Sentiments using the coordinating die. I attached the “thank you” to the front using foam tabs to make it stand out.
