Sending love

Hello Crafty Friends,

Sylvie @kaliscards here. Valentine’s Day is around the corner, so I thought a little Love inspiration would be a good idea. And what best than an impossible love between this precious giraffe and cute mouse?

To create the card, I started by cutting two panels from white cardstock, 4.75 by 4.75 inches. Using the Nested stitched circle die set, I create a circle opening on the center of one panel, using the larger circle die. On the other panel, I die cut the floral background with the Urban blooms die.

I lifted each petal of the Urban blooms and then added a little color on the petals, blending Distress ink Kitsch flamingo. I used a piece of scrap paper which I slid underneath the petal to ink blend the petal only.

I cut a panel of brushed gold cardstock slightly smaller than the bloom panel and adhered it at the back.

I then added 4-mm thick foam tape at the back of the circle panel, removed the release paper and adhered it over the Urban blooms panel.

I then stamped the images from the Giraffe-ic fiends and Sweet friend stamp set, as well as the sentiment Sending from the Birthday wonderland stamp set, on white cardstock, with Memento Black tuxedo ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies for the Giraffe-ic friends, Sweet friend and Birthday wonderland set to cut out the images.

I dabbed Distress ink Kitsch flamingo on piece of scrap paper and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Love sentiment die from the Love and hug die set.

I then adhered the images and sentiments with liquid adhesive on the front panel and finally adhered it onto the cardbase.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sylvie
