Sending Hugs – Peony Blossoms Press Plate

Happy Monday, friends!! Brenda back with you on this Monday!! I hope your weekend was wonderful!! I got a little Copic coloring in over the weekend with the Peony Blossoms Press Plate and couldn’t wait to turn it into a card!!

I started by pressing the Peony Blossoms Press Plate onto a panel of white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink using the BetterPress System. I splattered it with diluted black dye ink and white bleed-proof ink, then set it aside to dry.

Once the ink was dry, the panel was die-cut with the largest rectangle die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set. I also die-cut a strip of black and white striped pattern paper using the bottom  of the same rectangle die and adhered it to the bottom of the panel. A strip of black cardstock was cut with the Thin Stripes Cover Die and adhered where the striped paper overlaps the background. I wrapped black and white twine around the panel and tied it into a bow.

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. It was pressed onto white cardstock with black pigment ink using the BetterPress, then cut out with the Essential Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set. I also die-cut another layer from purple cardstock, adhered it to the back, then popped it up with foam tape to finish off the card.

I toyed around with adding some embellishments, but in the end I decided there was enough going on!!

Thank you so much for dropping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you back here next Monday!!

Brenda
