Hello Alex Syberia Designs friends! Today, we are pretty in pink… and in yellow, too! I’m using press plates for this elegant and lovely happiness card. I’m using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Charming Floral Background Press Plate
Charming Floral Background Stencil Set
Celebrations Sentiments Stamp Set
For the basics, my card is 5″ wide X 7″ tall. The card base is made from 80lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
To make this card, I started with a piece of 5″ X 7″ white cardstock and the Charming Floral Background Press Plate. I inked up the plate with black Better Press Ink using the BetterPress Press Plate system and ran it through my die cutting machine to transfer the floral background to my cardstock. Next, I colored all the florals and greens on the design using the coordinating Charming Floral Background Stencil Set. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness along with my blender brushes. I cut the piece down to fit on the card front, keeping a 1″ border on the right side and a 1-1/2″ border on the bottom of the 5″ X 7″ card front, nestling the floral layer right up in the upper left corner of the card front.
To complete the card, I added two sentiments to the florals using the Celebrations Sentiments Stamp Set and Thin Stripes cover die. I stamped all the sentiments in black, in one step and then die cut them all using one die and one run through the die cutting machine! I love that! I attached two of the sentiments and hand cut the edges in a diagonal to make a “V” shape with the left ends. (I saved all the other sentiments for other projects down the road.) I used the Pretty Bows Dies to die cut two pink bows and layered them to make one fuller bow. To top it all off, I added some gem stickers to the flowers and the bow and added a little pink zigzag die cut to the bottom. This was a scrap piece I had from another project and it looks so pretty and delicate like the bows and florals!
